We will be using Multivariable Calculus by Dr. Clark Bray. The author of our textbook has posted several helpful videos on his website that you can access for free here. You can access both videos containing lectures and videos containing worked out exercises and example (be sure to scroll down through these lists to access early videos relevant to earlier chapters in our book).
The class schedule (shown below) is tentative (meaning it may change depending on the needs of the class, classroom assistant, and/or teacher) and includes a brief description followed by corresponding sections from our text. Students are responsible for reading indicated sections, even when such reading is not stated in class or as part of assignments.
- Week 1: , points, vectors, and dot products (1.1 – 1.3)
- Week 2: cross products, lines, planes, and coordinate systems (1.4-1.6)
- Week 3: coordinate systems, functions, equations, sections, graphs / solution sets (1.6, 2.1-2.3)
- Week 4: graphs and more (2.3 – TBA)
